Our Mission
Joshua’s House is a Houston faith-based nonprofit devoted to human restoration. We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while providing practical care, encouragement, education, creative programs, and connections to community resources.
Our Founder
Joshua Curry founded Joshua’s House and serves as President. His commitment to service was shaped by his grandmother’s lifelong Catholic outreach, three years of daily contact with people experiencing homelessness near The Beacon in downtown Houston, and his own experience with housing instability. Those experiences established a clear conviction: every person deserves dignity, consistent care, encouragement, and a path forward.
Our Name and Official Website
Joshua’s House is the public name of the nonprofit; its legal name is Joshuas House. homeofyeshua.org is the organization’s official website because a suitable Joshua’s House domain was unavailable. Yeshua is the Hebrew and Aramaic form of the name rendered as Jesus in English, reflecting the Christian faith at the center of the organization.
